Team additions target Gulfstream sales growth
Between them they have more than 65 years of aviation experience, so Oliver Bergsch and Jim Beckstein are well placed to bring value to Gulfstream's US and international sales teams.

Gulfstream Aerospace appointed Oliver Bergsch as regional vice president of sales for Central and Eastern Europe, and Jim Beckstein as regional vice president of sales for southern California and Arizona.

Bergsch has more than 25 years of experience in aviation. Over the last 15 years, he held a range of senior sales management roles at Gulfstream's sister company, Jet Aviation. There he was responsible for maintenance, fixed base operations, charter and aircraft management sales activities in the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions. He has also worked alongside Gulfstream's customer support sales leadership team for the last four years, successfully increasing synergy between the two General Dynamics aerospace subsidiaries.

“Oliver's valuable experience with Gulfstream aircraft and our business as a whole has enabled him to immediately become an integral part of the sales team,” says senior vice president, worldwide sales Scott Neal. “We are seeing continued interest in Gulfstream aircraft in Central and Eastern Europe, and Oliver will play a key role in helping us grow our fleet in those markets.”

Beckstein brings nearly 40 years of aviation experience, with the last 25 focused on business aviation and sales. His background spans many industry disciplines including engineering, fractional aircraft ownership, new and pre-owned aircraft sales and marketing and sales team leadership. Beckstein also serves as the president of the Northern California Business Aviation Association. At Gulfstream, he is replacing Richard Milling, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the company and over 30 years in aviation.

“With his breadth and depth of experience, Jim will be a valuable addition to our sales team,” says Neal. “His broad network and industry knowledge will allow a seamless transition. I am pleased to welcome Jim to Gulfstream and would like to thank Richard for his many contributions to the company.”

Bergsch is based in Vienna, Austria and reports to division vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent Michael Swift. Beckstein will be based in southern California and will report to division vice president of sales for the western United States and Canada Brent Monroe.
