GainJet's Global 5000 addition joins the Irish register
Having been first off the blocks with a new Irish registration for its Lineage 1000, GainJet Ireland has again chosen the EJ mark for its long-range Global 5000 addition.
GainJet's new Global 5000 will be based between London Biggin Hill and Athens.

Large group charter specialist GainJet Ireland, part of Athens-headquartered GainJet Aviation Group, has added a long range Bombardier Global 5000 to its fleet. The aircraft, registration EJ-SAID, was delivered in March, is now available for charter and will be based between London Biggin Hill and Athens.

EJ-SAID is among the first aircraft on the new EJ Irish registry, which was inaugurated with a GainJet Ireland Embraer Lineage 1000 late last year.

With one of the widest cabins in its category, the Global 5000 can accommodate up to 15 passengers. Its spacious cabin features 10 individual VIP seats, a three-seater and a two-seater sofa as well as other luxury amenities. The 10-hour (5,200 nm) flight range enables passengers to easily connect continents and makes transatlantic travel possible. The aircraft also features the Bombardier Global Vision flight deck.

GainJet Ireland CEO Ray Mills says: “We're excited about this new addition to our fleet and to put another aircraft on the EJ Irish registry. The comfort, size and range it offers, combined with its onboard features, are sure to make this a popular aircraft among our passengers. Being based between London and Athens, we are sure that it will be in high demand, especially for cross continent travel.”

The GainJet Aviation Group charter fleet is positioned throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and includes the Gulfstream G650, G550, G450, Embraer Legacy 600, Challenger 605 and Challenger 604, plus a VIP Boeing 757-200 with 62 seats and stateroom and a VIP Boeing 737-400 with 64 VIP seats. Group CEO captain Ramsey Shaban explains: “It is our desire to offer our customers a wide selection of jets, providing them with the right aircraft that satisfies their specific needs. A Global 5000 complements our growing fleet as another large cabin, long range VIP aircraft. We welcome it with great pleasure and anticipation.”

The EJ register was launched in March 2015 with an update to the Irish Aviation Authority (Nationality and Registration of Aircraft) Order that allowed the use of EJ followed by four letters. VIP or business aircraft in excess of 5,700 kg MTOW used for private or public transport can be registered on it. The register says it offers the benefits of a gold-standard onshore EASA jurisdiction and is designed for full compliance with current and forthcoming EASA regulations including Part NCC.
