Elliott Aviation completes 7,800 cycle inspection on Challenger 604
Family-owned Elliott Aviation has facilities in Moline, Des Moines and Minneapolis. Following investment in training and tooling for its Challenger programme it is well placed to handle in-depth inspections.

US MRO provider Elliott Aviation has recently delivered a 7,800 cycle Challenger 604 inspection on-time and 'squawk-free'. Taking over 3,500 man hours to complete, this inspection is one of the most in-depth inspections available for the airframe and is the equivalent of a D check on a commercial airliner.

During the 7,800 cycle inspection, the aircraft completed 600, 800 and 2,400-hour airframe inspections, as well as 600, 800 and 2,400-hour engine inspections. In addition, Elliott Aviation completed an ADS-B installation on the aircraft.

“Our jet team was well-equipped to handle an inspection of this size and scope for the Challenger 604,” says president Greg Sahr. “Over the past several years we have invested a significant amount of time and capital in training and tooling for our Challenger programme. We have factory-trained Challenger mechanics, and our Challenger crew chief has over 20 years of experience with the airframe.”

Elliott Aviation is a Part 145 repair station for the Challenger 300, 604, 605, Hawker 125 series, and most Citation models. It also holds factory authorisations for the Phenom 100/300, Legacy 450/500, Hawker 400XP, Premier I/IA, King Air and Daher TBM. It is an ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D facility and an FAA and EASA approved repair station.
