Vienna-based International Jet Management (IJM) has added a Challenger 604 to its managed fleet, after successfully placing a Global Express on the Isle of Man register at the turn of the year. The Challenger has been registered in Austria and different temporary home bases in Europe will be used for its charter operations.
“We are very satisfied with the constant growth of our aircraft fleet,” remarks sales director Bernhard Wipfler. “The first M reg aircraft is a milestone in the company's ten year history, and we are delighted to have this additional Global Express aircraft in our fleet. The Challenger 604 is a very popular charter aircraft, and we are excited about this latest addition.
“The aircraft will be heavily used for third party charter flights and we will use different charter hubs in Europe as well as destinations in Russia. We are keen to welcome more new aircraft during this year to the IJM family as we see more and more demand for our aircraft management services.”
The CL604 will be promoted through IJM's charter partner AC Aviation Charter, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. The total charter fleet of AC Aviation Charter will rise to 11 aircraft as a result.
IJM md Robert Schmoelzer adds: “We endeavour to keep a friendly and personal atmosphere for our customers as well as for our employees. Although we would like to continue our steady growth in the year 2014, sustainability is an important issue for us.”
The company was founded in 2003 and now employs over 100 staff at Vienna and throughout Europe, with additional bases in Manila and Hong Kong. It has over 20 aircraft in its fleet, including Learjets, Challengers, Globals, Beechjet 400, Falcons and a Gulfstream V. IJM is especially experienced in flying the Falcon 900, and added another of this type along with a Learjet 40XR in the latter part of 2013. It hopes to add further aircraft this year but Schmoelzer does state that a period of consolidation will be necessary.
