AMAC Aerospace has signed a new contract on a Boeing BBJ 747-8 for a cabin reconfiguration and an update of its whole interior to the latest level. The firm has also been awarded several new maintenance projects at its Basel, Switzerland facility.

The cabin of the BBJ 747-8 will be reconfigured and the aircraft will undergo a 72-month-check in parallel. To equip the aircraft with the latest technology, AMAC Aerospace will install a Ka-band system with an already existing STC and will upgrade the in-flight entertainment system. This will ensure that AMAC's client will have the very latest technology updates on their Boeing BBJ 747-8 and enjoy incomparable connectivity on board the aircraft.

AMAC has also been awarded new maintenance projects on several Boeing BBJ 737 aircraft. A privately-owned Boeing BBJ 737 will arrive at AMAC in Basel at beginning of April when AMAC's team will carry out an annual check. Another Boeing BBJ 737 has already arrived in Basel and AMAC is going to perform a six-month-check on the privately-owned aircraft. An additional privately-owned Boeing BBJ 737 recently needed AOG support. Within 24 hours AMAC sent a team to Geneva providing the needed support so that the aircraft went back on service immediately.

A privately-owned Bombardier Global 6000 also entered AMAC's hangar at the end of February. AMAC will carry out a 30-month-check on the aircraft.
