CJG selects Universal Avionics for data link solution
NextGen Pro-Link is the newest flight management system upgrade available from the Chicago-based maintenance company for G200, Falcon 50/50EX and Falcon 2000/2000EX aircraft.

Aurora Municipal airport-based maintenance provider Chicago Jet Group (CJG) has introduced the first complete Proline 4 Dual Integrated FMS upgrade for legacy integrated navigation systems – NextGen Pro-Link. Universal Avionics provides the foundation avionics components to equip and certify aircraft for Controller-Pilot Data Link including CPDLC-DCL, CPDLC-Enroute, FANS 1/A+ and European ATN B1 (formerly Link 2000+).

The NextGen Pro-Link upgrade meets the global compliance requirements for the Gulfstream G200, Falcon 50/50EX and Falcon 2000/2000EX. It is the most effective Dual FMS upgrade path for classic Dassault Falcon aircraft models and the Gulfstream G200.

CJG president Mike Mitera comments: “The NextGen Pro-Link programme provides the upgrade path that aircraft manufacturers and owner/operators have been requesting and have never been able to obtain until now. Upgrading legacy navigation products with Pro-Link NextGen capable components provides the one compelling argument for owner/operators to investigate what a considerable return on avionics upgrades will mean for their aviation investment.”

CJG provides performance-based communication and surveillance compliant data link solutions, avionics upgrades, installation and certification meeting all requirements of NextGen Data Communications, FANS 1/A+ Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Contract (ADS-C) and European Aeronautical Telecommunications Network Base 1 (ATN-B1).

Universal Avionics US senior sales manager Robert Randall adds: “The FAA NextGen roadmap for data comms will require operators to upgrade their aircraft with a communications management unit that affords pilots the ability of CPDLC DCL, pre-departure clearances, and enroute CPDLC. The UniLink UL-800/801 CMU also offers FANS 1/A+ with ATN B1. We are pleased that CJG has created the path to allow the installation on these aircraft. We hope to see more certifications come on line in the near future as NextGen continues to evolve.”
