US Part 135 Solairus Aviation has signed a ten year agreement with Portside for fleet management solutions on its newly acquired Avianis platform.

"Portside brings more than industry-leading tools and technology to bear on the most common challenges facing aviation providers. It also brings a solution-focused team that delivers future-facing products that will grow alongside us as Solairus continues to expand and evolve," says Solairus president John King. "The ability to seamlessly deploy a customisable and feature rich FMS solution across a large fleet opens up bandwidth for us to focus on our top priority of delivering a best-in-class experience for our customers and aircraft owners."

Solairus is one of the largest private aviation providers in the US, according to ARGUS, and operates a fleet of more than 320 aircraft with service to all 50 states and with 20 per cent of operations worldwide. The agreement will help support flight coordination, dispatch, maintenance and charter sales team, including the recently announced expansion of its Altitude charter membership programme.

"Today's announcement demonstrates both the features, flexibility and value in our Avianis platform and the trust large-scale operators like Solairus have in Portside to power mission-critical infrastructure for their fleets and to help them improve their reach and service," says CEO Alek Vernitsky. "Over the course of our agreement with Solairus, we look forward to providing the technology, systems and expertise that help unlock efficiency at scale."

The companies will also collaborate to extend key parts of the Avianis platform, to focus on quoting and data interoperability to help Solairus better support its vendor ecosystem and drive efficiency across its aircraft management and charter businesses, and on custom enhancements to the Avianis platform focused on security and resiliency.

"In powering more than 1,000 operators across the entire aviation spectrum, we've seen a clear need for flexible, bespoke solutions that address specific opportunities and we look forward to working with Solairus on building an infrastructure that supports its business today and in the future," says Vernitsky.
