Locarno, Switzerland-based flight school Aero Locarno has acquired an Alsim AL42 simulator.
The AL42 is an exact replica of the Diamond DA42, built using genuine aircraft parts and equipped with the latest real-world Garmin G1000 avionics suite. It also comes with the latest generation visual system, GFC 700 autopilot and PBN/LPV capabilities.
CEO Stefano Buratti says: “By using such a device, we are convinced that the training standards delivered by Aero Locarno will be further appreciated by the aviation market. Having them combined with the quality of Alsim simulators will make our cadets excellent professionals and employable pilots, with unique competencies well ahead of other ATOs students.”
Alsim sales account manager Nicolas Fabries adds: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Aero Locarno to the Alsim family. We would like to thank Stefano and the team for their confidence, and we are very much looking forward to engaging in this collaboration, with the installation of the first AL42 simulator in Switzerland."
