Sorocaba centre completes first Legacy 600 refurbishment
The Embraer service centre at Sorocaba is certified by ANAC, the FAA, EASA, DGAC in Chile, ANAC in Argentina and DCAA in Aruba. Refurbishing a 2006-build Legacy 600 is the first such job the facility has completed.
The 2006-build Legacy 600 has received new seats, carpets, ceiling material, side panels as well as a new varnish hue for all the furniture.

The Embraer Executive Jets Service Center in Sorocaba, Brazil has performed its first complete renovation of a Legacy 600 business jet. The pre-flown aircraft was purchased by a South American customer who chose to customise it with a new interior, systems upgrades and a fresh paint scheme.

The 2006-build Legacy 600 has received new seats, carpets, ceiling material, side panels as well as a new varnish hue for all the furniture. The galley received new flooring and the divan and curtains now have new fabrics. The service team also performed an overhaul of the landing gear and the installation of ADS-B Out, along with a GPS upgrade.

The OEM's service centre in Sorocaba started the interior shop implementation project in 2018 to expand the portfolio of services offered to Embraer Executive Jets' customers. The Sorocaba service centre is part of Embraer's TechCare platform, which offers integrated service and support solutions, from small repairs to fully customised services.

“Since 2002 in the business aviation market, Embraer has developed aircraft recognised for their robustness, advanced technology, reliability and high utilisation capability,” says general manager of the Brazil service centre Everton Vicente de Lima. “Now, customers also find complete solutions for renovation, modification and modernisation, in addition to the market-leading customer support.”

Based at the Bertram Luiz Leupolz airport in Sorocaba, the company's facility provides FBO services for any manufacturer's aircraft and support for the Embraer Executive Jets fleet. In addition to being certified by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) of Brazil, it is also certified by the FAA and EASA and the aeronautical authorities of Chile, Argentina and Aruba.

In Brazil, the Embraer Executive Jets service network also includes Voar Aviação in Goiânia; OPD Aviation at Pampulha airport in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais; and Aeromecânica in Recife, Pernambuco and Curitiba, Paraná. In South America, customers are also supported by Aero Baires in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Aeroservicio in Santiago, Chile and Aerotecnica in Caracas, Venezuela.
