Swiss operator Nomad Aviation has received approval to operate its Citation CJ1+ and CJ2+ in and out of London City airport, starting this month.
London City airport is located in the Royal Docks at the heart of the UK capital, making it a close and convenient airport for easy access to London’s financial district. However, the airport features some of the most restrictive steep approach and noise abatement regulations in aviation, and flight crews and aircraft require special certification and training to operate there. Now that its crews and CitationJets have met these requirements, Nomad Aviation can offer London City as a destination to its clients.
“Our London City approval marks yet another milestone, allowing us to provide our charter clients with a competitive advantage,” says VP of management and sales Christoph Thurnherr.
The Nomad Aviation fleet includes the Citation CJ1+ and CJ2+, Legacy 600 and 650, Challenger 604, CRJ100, Global 5000, Gulfstream G450 and G650 and an Airbus ACJ319. The company has corporate offices in Zurich-Kloten and Basel, Switzerland as well as in Sliema, Malta.
