Aurora Municipal airport, Illinois-based revv aviation is excited for the imminent arrival of a Pilatus PC-12 NGX to its fleet. The 2021-built eight seat, single engine turboprop will be based in the Chicago area, serving the ever-growing need for business and personal charter services.

Revv has operated both Part 91 and on demand private charter throughout the Midwest and the country for over 30 years via its legacy aviation brands under the Revv umbrella. It operates FBO hubs in Aurora and Schaumburg, Illinois and in Janesville, Wisconsin, as well as in three locations in Iowa and one in South Dakota.

"This is an ideal addition to our charter fleet, especially for the high-demand Chicago market," says director of business development Julie Marrella. “We are expecting to bring additional turboprops to our Aurora flagship location in the very near future.”

Revv has experienced continued growth and increased demand not only for business and personal charter, but among its flight schools, maintenance/avionics services and FBO locations as well. This is a clear reflection of the company’s mantra of bringing more personal aviation services to smaller towns and communities across the Midwest.

“Private aviation, whether business or for pleasure, has long been thought of as unaffordable,” says CEO Guy Lieser. “At Revv, our goal is to put aviation within reach so more people can do more of the things they love in less time.”

Besides the Pilatus PC-12NGX, the Revv charter fleet includes five cost-effective turboprop cabin-class King Air 90, King Air 200s and King Air 350s as well as a Cessna Citation Ultra light jet.

Marrella recently earned her certificate in corporate travel execution designation from Cornell University’s Executive Education Division and received her award at a ceremony in August.

She has held this role since January 2021, overseeing the company’s business and personal charter sales operations. “What I find most interesting in the travel industry are the people," she says. "Some are rich and famous. Some not so. In the end, most are genuinely interesting people who have fascinating stories to tell.”

She recalls one trip involving a famous Mexican singer, who asked the pilots to be mindful of the way the charter aircraft was facing on landing because he only wanted fans and photographers to see the left side of his face when he came down the steps. He would say: "That’s my most photogenic side." Marella thought it looked remarkably similar to the right side of his face.

This additional industry designation is important to Marrella because the course targets travel professionals aspiring to advance their knowledge in travel and business best practices. “I highly recommend it to anyone involved with corporate or charter travel,” she says. “My background is mostly air charter but also includes chauffeured car service sales, aircraft sales, and selling/designing/curating managed corporate travel programmes, and the management of those programmes.”

Owned by CL Enterprises, revv aviation operates seven FBOs in nine locations: Aurora and Schaumburg in Illinois; Janesville, Wisconsin; and Council Bluffs, Davenport, Muscatine, Iowa and Huron in South Dakota. It also operates flight schools in Sioux City, Iowa; Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska; and Moline, Illinois.

The company provides Part 61 and Part 141 flight training, Part 135 charter services with both owned and managed aircraft, corporate pilot services, aircraft maintenance, turbine and jet engine maintenance and reports, avionics, fuel services and aircraft storage.
