FAA-approved Part-142 pilot training centre FlyRight has partnered with Blackhawk Modifications to provide simulator-based training services for owners and operators of aircraft equipped with Blackhawk Engine+ upgrades.
The company currently provides initial and recurrent pilot training for the Cessna Caravan 208, Beechcraft King Air 90 through to 350 series and Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft. By incorporating Blackhawk's performance advantages into its simulator training programme, owners and operators of aircraft equipped with Blackhawk upgrades will now have the advantage of customised training that incorporates performance and operational differences specific to their aircraft.
Blackhawk will be offering vouchers for discounted recurrent training with each Engine+ upgrade. Training will be conducted using full motion Level-C and D simulators at FlyRight's training centre located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

FlyRight has also received FAA approval for its King Air 200 crew training programmes. The initial crew course is six days of training and the recurrent crew course is three days in length. Pilots attending this course will focus on best CRM practices while also obtaining endorsements for flight review, landing recency and instrument proficiency. Crew training programmes for additional models of the King Air series will be available later this year.
