Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center’s DHART programme and the University of Vermont (UVM) Medical Center Health Network Critical Care Transport Team have jointly taken delivery of a H135 helicopter completed by Metro Aviation.
The helicopter's livery features branding from both DHART and UVM, with the design mirroring DHART’s customary design, while the colour scheme demonstrates the collaboration with UVM. Paired with Metro Aviation’s traditional medical interior, the H135 will operate as part of an improved regional transport system, increasing the programmes’ bandwidth of providing faster critical care.
“Through our collaboration between Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the UVM Medical Center, we have improved the access to high quality, critical care transport in the northeast region,” says DHART director Kyle Madigan.
Staffed with a UVM medical team with flight requests coordinated through the DHART programme, the Burlington-based partnership began service on 23 August, 2018. The aircraft is operated by Metro Aviation.
