Following the commission of a series of maintenance projects, AMAC Aerospace has taken delivery of a privately-owned Airbus A319 at its facility in Basel, Switzerland. The company is to provide six, 12 and 24 month inspections with ADs and SBs. Simultaneously an out of phase will be carried out by the maintenance team, and next to the maintenance work AMAC will perform a partial cabin refurbishment.
AMAC Aerospace Basel has also carried out onsite AOG maintenance support on another Airbus A319. A team was dispatched to the AOG support outside of Basel in less than two hours and the Airbus A319 returned to its normal service on the same day.
Additionally a head of state Airbus A319 has been re-delivered after a 12 month inspection with ADs and SBs. Besides the maintenance inspection, a minor cabin refurbishment was made and the aircraft was completed on time. And a privately-owned Boeing B767 is also on site for a reduced ground time engine change. For this project a special shift plan has to be created to meet the customer's schedule expectation to re-deliver the aircraft on time.
A new customer has awarded the company a six month check on a privately-owned Bombardier Challenger 350. The aircraft is entering the facility on short notice and SBs will also be performed.
“In order to provide our customers with an excellent service we do our best to implement their wishes if they need the aircraft within a certain time,” says director, maintenance sales and key account management Alexis Ott. “Our talented and qualified mechanics make this possible.”
AMAC Aerospace is a key partner for Honeywell, having installed Honeywell's Jetwave onboard connectivity product on almost all VVIP aircraft. In recognition of this, Honeywell presented AMAC with a Channel Partner award during a recent conference in Austria.
“AMAC has been a key partner for Honeywell since we launched our Jetwave flagship product,” says account manager EMEIA B&GA sales ops Pierre Wilhelm. “It has put its cutting-edge engineering skills at the service of our mutual customers.”
AMAC group COO Bernd Schramm adds: “AMAC Aerospace has progressed beyond expectation in developing connectivity solutions with Honeywell. The partnership and long-standing collaboration is a testament to the success we can both share equally.”
