Kuala Lumpur-based Asia Jet Partners Malaysia has successfully obtained its 9M Malaysian commercial aircraft operating certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia. The award follows hard on the heels of obtaining an Air Services Permit (ASP) from the Malaysian Aviation Commission in December 2019. In securing this certification, Asia Jet Partners Malaysia says it becomes the country's only commercially registered private jet operator.

“We are delighted to formally receive our AOC and ASP,” comments CEO Stutijn van Till, who confirms that the company is also looking forward to introducing its second Bombardier Global 5000 this spring. This aircraft will join its existing Global 5000 positioned and available for charter from Subang's Sultan Abdul Aziz Shan airport. “As we enter our fifth year and under new ownership, our investors are very supportive of growing our charter and managed fleet and bolstering our maintenance capability,” he adds.

Before long the company will move into a new hangar facility, as outlined in the Subang airport redevelopment masterplan. “We are looking to establish a suite of business aviation services in Malaysia that will rival the excellent facilities at Seletar in Singapore,” notes van Till. “Mature southeast Asian business hubs such as Hong Kong and Singapore are becoming congested and expensive. Our goal is to deliver a first-class experience for private jet companies coming into Subang, supported by modern facilities and excellent infrastructure.”
