Daher has delivered a factory-new TBM 900 to a Madrid, Spain-based company for corporate transportation. The customer is the first Spanish operator to receive this latest version of the TBM turboprop aircraft family.
Nicolas Chabbert, senior vp at Daher, says the TBM 900 delivery is an encouraging sign of business aviation's recovery in Spain after the financial crisis severely affected the economy. “Our TBM 900 is well tailored to regular trips across Europe and the Mediterranean region for the Iberian peninsula's dynamic entrepreneurs, allowing them to reach more places for business in a short time, and at an affordable cost,” he comments.
The TBM 900 offers a maximum cruise speed of 330 kts and a range of 1,730 nm. It has a fuel consumption at economy cruise of 37 US gallons per hour.
Deliveries in 2014 brought the total number of TBM series aircraft received by customers to 713 units, with this global fleet accumulating more than 1.2 million flight hours as of January this year.
