COCH to offer line maintenance for AW139 engines
More than 3,600 Pratt & Whitney engines are in service in China. P&W powers the country's business jet fleet with the PW300, PW500 and PW600 engines, and is introducing the next-generation PW800.

Pratt & Whitney has appointed Citic Offshore Helicopter (COHC) in Shenzhen, China as a designated maintenance facility to maintain PT6C-67C engines for Leonardo AW139 helicopter customers in the country. COHC will offer line maintenance and mobile repair team services.

“Listening to the needs of our customers and bringing them the right solutions is of the utmost importance to us,” says Frederic Lefebvre, sales and marketing executive at Pratt & Whitney. “With the rapid growth of civil helicopters in China, we want to ensure our customers have more local and personal service. We are proud to launch this effort with COHC.”

Since first powering the Loening Air Yacht in China 90 years ago, Pratt & Whitney has grown its presence in major cities across the country, with 1,200 employees responsible for manufacturing, training, sales and customer service. Today, more than 3,600 Pratt & Whitney engines are in service in China, including the Pratt & Whitney GTF, PW100, PT6A, V2500 engine and APS3200 APUs. Pratt & Whitney engines and APUs currently power several domestic aircraft including the COMAC ARJ21 regional jet, the Harbin Y-12, Xi'an MA60, MA600 turboprops, and will power the MA700 regional turboprop. It also powers the country's business jet fleet with the PW300, PW500 and PW600 engines, and is proud to introduce its latest next-generation engine, the PW800.
