Denmark proves fertile for expanding ExecuJet

ExecuJet Europe is expanding its managed fleet with the addition of two Gulfstream G650s and a Global 5000. One of the Gulfstreams and the Global will join the company's Danish AOC, while the other G650 is to be added to the Swiss certificate. The Global and the Swiss-operated Gulfstream G650 are available for charter.

Gerrit Basson, md of ExecuJet Europe, says: “We are very pleased to add these state-of-the-art, ultra long range aircraft to our managed fleet. Danish aircraft owners are showing a high level of interest in our aircraft management service, and we expect to add more aircraft to our Danish AOC later this year.”

The operator's managed fleet now numbers 52 aircraft, of which a large proportion is available for charter. There are currently 15 aircraft on its Danish AOC. It claims to be the only operator in Europe that can offer aircraft owners a choice between commercial operations under AOCs in Switzerland, Denmark and the UK, and private operations under IS-BAO.

Operations director John Brutnell says there has been strong demand from ExecuJet's existing fixed wing customers to use its recently launched helicopter charter and management services at Cambridge, UK: “We are expecting a lot of flights for leisure purposes, as helicopter charter enables customers to land conveniently at locations such as hotels, restaurants and sports events.”

The company has employed a team of experienced full-time specialists to lead its helicopter operations, including a director of helicopter flight operations and a head of helicopter training.
