Augsburg offers King Air conversion to NXi

Germany's Augsburg Air Service is enabling its King Air customers to convert to the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite. In order to meet EASA's ADS-B Out mandate, all aircraft in Europe that fly faster than 250 kts or are heavier than 5.7 tonnes must be equipped with an ADS-B transponder by 7 June 2020. The ADS-B technology is incorporated into the NXi package, so by choosing to upgrade, owners can future-proof their turboprop.

Augsburg expects that there will be a rush in 2019 to install the technology and says that this could spike the price of conversions by up to 15 per cent.
