Germany qualifies Reiser H135 FFS to highest standard
Since air rescue night missions are increasing, the FFS H145/H135 is particularly suitable for training essential flight situations in a realistic atmosphere. A mixed-reality third crew member enables abseiling practice.
A roll-on-roll-off system allows the device to switch between the H135 and the H145.

Reiser Simulation and Training's newest Airbus H135 full flight simulator has been initially qualified to the highest standard Level D by the German Federal Aviation Office according to EASA regulations. The most modern FFS helicopter type H135 is thus ready for training at the major training location of Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) in Frankfurt.

The simulator is the perfect complement to the H145 FFS D, which has been in operation at LAT since summer 2020. Smoothly exchanging the H135/H145 cockpits utilising Reiser's advanced roll-on-roll-off system allows the most convenient application of both configurations within the same simulator. The holistic roll-on-roll-off approach can be adapted to any other rotary or fixed-wing platform.

Since air rescue night missions are increasing, the modern helicopter FFS H145/H135 is particularly suitable for training essential flight situations in a realistic atmosphere. In addition, the FFS is equipped with a mixed-reality third crew member station to simulate how to abseil from a helicopter with the entire crew. The simulator includes step 2 and 3 (switchable) of Helionix avionics in both configurations.

Reiser CEO Roman Sperl says: “Pilot training is of great importance for flight safety. Our approach is to specialise in the requirements of rescue helicopter crews that must be optimally prepared and thus trained for any situation in any weather. I am very proud of the entire team, who achieved qualification on the first attempt. This simulator is proven to meet the highest training standards and is even exceeding the requirements given by EASA.”
