BLR receives FAA approval for King Air lighting upgrade
With reliable LED lights on the winglets and the tail, operators increase their aircraft's visibility while enjoying longer bulb life compared to incandescent lights.
The light package upgrades the forward position, forward anti-collision, forward recognition, rear position and rear anti-collision lights from incandescent to LED.

US developer BLR Aerospace has received FAA certification for its King Air C-90 winglet series LED lighting system upgrade for winglets and tails. The light package is a turn-key solution that upgrades the forward position, forward anti-collision, forward recognition, rear position and rear anti-collision lights from incandescent to LED.

The LED lighting system improves performance by:

- Directly converting power into light

- Operating 10 times more efficiently than incandescent lights

- Drawing far less current than conventional lighting

- Allowing for lower-voltage power supply

“The safety benefits of having bright, reliable lighting on your aircraft cannot be understated,” says president Mike Carpenter. “With reliable LED lights on the winglets and the tail, operators increase their aircraft's visibility while enjoying longer bulb life compared to incandescent lights.
