Lider Aviacao, a Brazilian full service executive aviation company that is already approved for maintenance services on Gulfstream, Bell and HondaJet aircraft in Brazil, has also begun to operate in this segment with aircraft registered in Argentina following certification by ANAC, the Argentine civil aviation authority.
“The manufacturers themselves have identified the need for a maintenance service centre with ANAC Argentina certification. The objective is to support these aircraft with all the quality control and experience that Lider has in common,” explains Rodrigo Barbosa, Lider Aviacao MD. “With this certification, we can expand our operations to another country in Latin America, reinforcing our commitment to serving the aircraft fleet of the manufacturers that we represent for maintenance.”
The Taller Aeronáutico de Reparación (Aircraft Maintenance Service Workshop) certification allows Lider to service Argentine aircraft from Gulfstream, HondaJet and Bell, comprising models ranging from Bell 505 and 429 helicopters to Gulfstream G280, G550 and G650 jets; HondaJet HA-420 and Bombardier Global BD-700-1A10/1A-11. This validation, obtained by Líder's maintenance unit, expands the company's support capacity in Latin America and contributes to the expansion and diversification of this company unit.
“The aircraft can be taken to our workshops or we can provide the 'Lider in Loco' service, in which our maintenance professionals travel to the base where the aircraft is, with all the necessary tooling apparatus, to provide maintenance support,” Rodrigo adds.
This service should increase the performance of the company's executive maintenance unit, which showed growth in 2022, compared to the pre-pandemic period (2019), reaching a 23 per cent higher demand in scheduled maintenance and 12 per cent higher demand in unscheduled maintenance.
