The Pilatus PC-24 P01 prototype has successfully completed its maiden flight from Buochs airport, Switzerland. Just under 1,800 Pilatus staff were there to applaud the business jet as it taxied for take-off. The aircraft flew across central Switzerland for a total of 55 minutes, with the flight going exactly as planned. The twin-engine jet took off in just under 600 metres and climbed to 10,000 feet in around three minutes. "It's an emotional moment for sure, and another major milestone in the Pilatus and Swiss aviation history," said chairman Oscar J. Schwenk.

"To see our new business jet take off on its maiden flight is something we've worked very hard for, and dreamt about for a long time. Today, at last, that Swiss dream has become a reality."
