Air Hamburg has signed for a third Legacy 600 on the back of a successful year for its current L600 fleet, which is averaging 200 hours a month. “We are certain it is the right decision to invest and expand in this segment,” says ceo Floris Helmers. Delivery of the jet is scheduled for May 2015 in Brazil.
The operator also took delivery of a Phenom 300, CJ2+ and CJ3 in 2013. Two Citation CJ3s and one factory new XLS+ are also set to join in 2014. By the end of the year Air Hamburg's roster is set to number 18, as it also has a King Air 200, six CJs, two Bravos, a Phenom 300, five XLS+ and the three Legacy 600s.
The latest jet has up to six beds on board and is equipped with a low flight noise cabin. There are three separate cabin zones, a fully functioning kitchen and a substantial in-flight accessible cargo area. Air Hamburg is focused on maintaining a young fleet, a simulator trained and '100 per cent customer minded' flight crew, high availability with no need for owners' approval, and top class levels of service and catering standards.
