Clemens commits to CoolView window technology
Clemens Aviation operates 14 Beechjets out of Stearman Field, and plans to open new facilities on Colonel James Jabara airport this December. It has worked with Lee Aerospace to bring CoolView windows to market.

Clemens Aviation of Wichita has opted to install Lee Aerospace's CoolView window technology on its fleet of Beechcraft 400As. In June, Lee Aerospace earned STC for the side cockpit windows on the Beechjet 400, 400A and 400XP and the company is now entering the final phases of FAA approval.

“Our pilots definitely prefer the benefits of CoolView over clear when given the option. It provides a much more comfortable environment for them to work in,” states Clemens president Dwayne Clemens. “We are looking forward to outfitting the entire fleet with the CoolView technology.”

President of Lee Aerospace Jim Lee adds: “We recognised a pain point in the market and knew that we had the solution. The interest in CoolView has been overwhelming. Getting PMA approval on the side cockpit window was the first step. We are so close to offering a full cockpit solution.”

Lee had the vision for this technology years ago and knew that once he could bring it to market, CoolView would be a hit. “We have taken Lee Aerospace through a number of phases over the past 30 years. The newest technology applied to a forward-facing, 28 volt heated glass will be a welcomed upgrade in the business jet marketplace.”

Clemens Aviation operates 14 Beechjets out of Stearman Field, and plans to open new facilities on Colonel James Jabara airport this December. It has committed to 10 ship sets once approval is complete. Clemens Aviation has partnered with Lee Aerospace during the experimental testing of its windows.
