Avincis, Europe’s largest aerial emergency services operator, has leased six Airbus H145D2 and D3 helicopters from LEVL Leasing, a joint venture between Lobo Leasing and EMP Structured Assets, for long-term emergency medical support contracts in different regions of Italy in a deal valued at around $55 million.
Established in March of this year, following the acquisition and subsequent rebranding of Babcock International’s European aerial emergency service by investment firm Ancala Partners, Avincis operates in Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Portugal and Finland, and in Chile and Mozambique. It has a team of more than 2,400 professionals, including pilots, crews and technicians, who fly and maintain a fleet of more than 200 aircraft.
Simon Chartres, group fleet director, says: “We are pleased to create a new long-term partnership with Lobo with the addition of these well-equipped EMS helicopters. Avincis performs critical, life-saving EMS services throughout Europe, and these aircraft, along with our world-class personnel, help make that mission possible.”
