Elliott ADS-B installations top 600 aircraft
In addition to ADS-B Out, Elliott Aviation's STC includes ADS-B In through a Bluetooth device through Garmin's Flight Stream wireless platform. The STC replaces an aircraft's transponders with remote-mount GTX-3000s.

Elliott Aviation, a business aircraft MRO and holder of multiple ADS-B STCs, has announced that its remote-mount, Garmin-based ADS-B solution has now been installed in over 600 business aircraft, including Citations, Hawkers, Beechjets, Premiers, Falcons, Learjets, Challengers, Astras and ERJs. Although hardware is available for immediate installation through any Garmin dealer, aircraft owners are encouraged to take advantage of dealer bulk purchases by the end of December as pricing is expected to increase after the last dealer bulk purchases are made to support the mandate.

The solution also provides seamless integration to existing cockpit controls including TCAS-II equipped aircraft. In addition to ADS-B Out, this STC includes ADS-B In through a Bluetooth compatible device through Garmin's Flight Stream wireless platform. The STC replaces an aircraft's transponders with remote-mount Garmin GTX-3000 smart transponders. Elliott Aviation's Garmin ADS-B STCs do not require any modification to a current avionics package and do not require any current equipment to be sent out for upgrades, which removes the risk of having additional costs. An aircraft equipped with this solution gives the operator a $50,000 credit toward a future Garmin G5000 installation in the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP or Citation Excel/XLS.

“Our Garmin ADS-B STCs have been extremely popular because in many instances, they can save operators tens of thousands of dollars,” says Elliott director of avionics sales Conrad Theisen. “Most of our customers are looking for cost-effective ADS-B solutions that do not require additional upgrades, and that is exactly what we provide.”

Elliott Aviation is a second-generation, family-owned business aviation company offering aircraft sales, avionics service and installations, aircraft maintenance, accessory repair and overhaul, and paint and interiors. Serving the business aviation industry nationally and internationally, it has facilities in Moline, Illinois, Des Moines, Iowa, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company is a member of the Pinnacle Air Network, NBAA, GAMA, NATA and National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA).
