Qatar Aeronautical College has signed a purchase agreement with Diamond Aircraft Industries to invest in 14 training aircraft, four of which are DA-42VIs, and two simulators at its Doha headquarters.

CEO Sheik Jabor bin Hamad Al-Thani says: “The college is proud to sign this agreement as these aircraft have proved their efficiency and endurance to air turbulence in the Qatari environment and hot weather conditions.”

Diamond sales director Amila Spiegel adds: “We are honoured to be QAC's choice for professional flight trainings solutions and we are proud to be part of its new success story. This project shows that there is a demand for safe, maintenance-friendly and fuel-efficient aircraft in the Middle East region. We are convinced that QAC will benefit not only from huge fuel savings but also from the high standardisation level of the fleet and simulators.”

The first aircraft will be delivered to Doha International Airport at the end of November 2017.
