Costs waived for TCCA by Harrods and Luton
The Children's Air Ambulance Charity specialises in transferring babies and children up to the age of 18 from hospital to specialist paediatric and neonatal treatment centres. Harrods and Luton are helping the cause.
More medical missions will be possible thanks to the generosity of Harrods and Luton airport.

The Children's Air Ambulance charity (TCAA) has received a boost from Harrods Aviation and London Luton airport. Harrods has agreed to waive all parking and handling charges for TCCA, while London Luton airport has agreed to supply fuel free of charge and waive landing fees. The same arrangement was offered to Herts and Essex Air Ambulance last year.

TCCA is an aero medical transfer service whose specialist facilities enable it to provide intensive care in the air for critically ill babies and children up to the age of 18 while transferring them from local hospitals to specialist paediatric and neonatal treatment centres.

Harrods sales and marketing director Will Holroyd states: “We are proud to be supporting such a worthy cause by waiving these costs. It means that whenever the air ambulance are operating in the area, they can be assured of receiving immediate and full support on the ground from Harrods.”

Director of operations at Children's Air Ambulance Richard Clayton adds: “We're extremely grateful for the support from Luton and Harrods. This generosity enables us to direct more of our public donations to the front line service of helping NHS specialist transport teams, involved in paediatric and neonatal transfers, to keep hope alive for these priceless patients.”

Harrods offers FBO services at London Luton and Stansted airports. Both bases have fully equipped hangars for aircraft maintenance and engineering.
