The Inter American University of Puerto Rico has ordered a Seminole twin-engine trainer from Piper Aircraft to support its Airway Science Programmes. This order marks the first new Piper Seminole to be sold into Puerto Rico in more than 20 years. Delivery is expected during the first quarter of 2023, when it will join the Piper fleet of eight Archers, one Seminole and one Arrow.

The School of Aeronautics offers Airway Science baccalaureate degrees in aircraft systems management (professional pilot) and aviation sciences management. Both programmes are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International, and is the only collegiate institution in the Caribbean to offer the two bachelor's degrees.

“We are extremely excited to work with the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and support their flight programme with advanced training equipment," adds manager, regional sales for Latin America Dan Lewis. "The pilot training curriculum offered by Inter American University of Puerto Rico combined with the Garmin G1000 NXi equipped Piper Seminole will further strengthen its stellar reputation for providing well-trained pilots who are prepared for the demands of the aviation industry. We look forward to delivering their new Seminole next year.”
