Challenger is latest addition for Jets Personales
Jets Personales has added a new aircraft to its fleet. The Challenger 604 will be used primarily for the managing director to make worldwide business trips, and make up extra hours operating as a charter aircraft.

Jets Personales has added a new aircraft to its fleet. The Challenger 604 will be used primarily for the managing director to make worldwide business trips, and make up extra hours operating as a charter aircraft.

It is expected to accrue about 500 flight hours per year.

The company, which launched in December 2004, currently operates a number of aircraft including a Gulfstream GIV and two Learjet 60s. It plans to add a Global Express to the fleet next year.

As a Bombardier representative in Spain, Jets Personales, has agreed to buy nine aircraft from the manufacturer over the coming years. The company will be adding a 46-passenger Challenger 850 to the fleet in June, which will be joined by a Learjet 60XR in November. The operator will receive its first Global XRS in April 2007.

Only two of its aircraft are managed for third parties; the rest are owned by the company itself. Said general manager Jose Espinosa: "The advantage of owning most of the aircraft is that you can guarantee the availability of aircraft for your clients - something that our competitors find difficult because they manage many of their aeroplanes."

Espinosa is confident that company's aircraft are suited to meet the requirements of today's charter clients. "Our Learjet 60, for example, offers a perfect combination of space, reliability and efficient operating costs. The cabin is big enough to allow you to stand up. Similar aircraft like the Excel just don't have the same performance."
