AMAC orders ACJ350 VIP humidification from CTT
Not one but two orders have now rolled in for CTT's VIP inflight humidification systems, including one for an ACJ350 from AMAC Aerospace. The system is designed to increase humidity throughout the widebody cabin.

Aircraft humidity control company CTT Systems has received an order for a VIP inflight humidification system for one Airbus ACJ350 aircraft from Swiss completions centre AMAC Aerospace. The IFH-VIP system is designed to increase humidity in the entire widebody cabin, which requires support from four humidifiers in addition to three line-fitted humidifiers.

The company has recently been asked to deliver another such such system for one Boeing BBJMAX8 aircraft, also scheduled for delivery in Q2 2022. This order value is four million Swedish Krona, based on list price, and was CTT Systems' 97th inflight humidification award for VIP aircraft from Airbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets.

The ACJ350 system is scheduled to be delivered to AMAC in Q2 2022, and the aircraft will also be line-fitted with humidifiers in flight deck and in both crew rests. It will be moisture protected with CTT's anti-fuselage-condensation technology that will be line-fitted in the green aircraft. In total, this ACJ350 aircraft will be equipped with 10 of its humidifiers and two zonal drying units. This is CTT Systems' 101th inflight humidification award for VIP aircraft from Airbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets.

“We look forward to working together with CTT in this widebody VIP completion project," says AMAC director logistics and purchasing Tracey Hawthorne-Kurz. "Cabin humidification is a common request from those of our VIP clients who value good health, wellbeing and feeling at ease during and after flight."

Without an efficient humidification system, the cabin air in the VIP aircraft or large, cabin business jet is far more dehydrating than any place on Earth, at below five per cent Relative Humidity (RH). This ACJ350 will have a striking humidity increase, restored to comfort and wellbeing levels, at approximately 20 per cent RH. VIP passengers on long haul flights will benefit from reduced dry air related problems (fatigue, jet lag, red eyes, dry throat, dry skin, spread of virus diseases) and improved wellbeing and general sleep.

“We are grateful to receive another order from AMAC and pleased to cooperate with AMAC in the fitting of our IFH-VIP system in this ACJ350 completion that also includes line-fitted humidifiers,” says CTT Systems vice president sales and marketing Peter Landquist.

The CTT humidifier is based on evaporative cooling technology and uses a method that effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria. The CTT VIP IFH system offers total anti-condensation protection.
