The ATO has also ordered a DSIM flight training simulator. Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in May.

MD Vilmantas Mazonas adds: “Since announcing the establishment of the pilot academy last December, we have seen tremendous interest from potential students. We received more than 200 applications in the first round, from which the class of 12 students has been selected. The theoretical training will begin this March, and in about three months time the class will have the chance to take a seat on one of the brand new training aircraft.”
