Air Evac Lifeteam adds to EMS bases in Georgia
This is Air Evac Lifeteam's 14th base in Georgia and the second aircraft located in Laurens County, alongside the longstanding AE 102 operation in Dublin. It will serve as a state asset and provide EMS transports.
Air Evac Lifeteam's latest air medical transport base in Laurens County, Georgia is now in service.

The latest air medical transport base for Air Evac Lifeteam in Laurens County, Georgia is now in service. It opened on 17 March and will provide emergency transport services around the clock. The central location will result in faster response times for critically ill and injured patients in Laurens County and the surrounding region.

“We are incredibly pleased to open this base and to be serving the residents of our community,” says programme director for the Laurens County operation Britta Thomason. “Air Evac Lifeteam is proud to continue to work alongside first responders and the medical community in Laurens County and the region, as well as increase our overall support to local EMS and healthcare systems.”

The operation will fly a twin engine Airbus H135 aircraft that is instrument flight rules (IFR) capable. Future plans for the operation include the addition of speciality transports to supplement Air Evac Lifeteam's current Georgia bases with increased clinical and aviation capabilities.

“This is Air Evac Lifeteam's 14th base in Georgia and second aircraft located in Laurens County, alongside the longstanding AE 102 operation in Dublin, Georgia,” Thomason adds. “We anticipate this aircraft will serve as a state asset and provide transports for EMS services and hospitals across Georgia.”
