Continental Motors Group has received EASA certification for the installation of its 155hp Jet-A diesel engine in the Diamond DA42 TDI. FAA validation is pending. The engine upgrade is part of a Diamond conversion programme and will be available to more than 500 existing DA42 owners, which up to now have been using 135hp Centurion 1.7 and CD-135 engines.

“Continental Motors is pleased with Diamond's decision to offer the CD-155 to its DA42 TDI customers. Adding this option represents a major commitment to the customer base,” says Ken Suda, president and md of Continental's subsidiary Technify Motors.

“For Diamond Aircraft it is very important to offer our customers possibilities to maintain the value of their aircraft. Particularly for those who have purchased their Diamond aircraft before 2009,” says Christian Dries, ceo Diamond Aircraft Austria.
