Collier receives H135 for golden hour transportation
Collier County Emergency Medical Services transports critically injured patients to a nearby trauma centre as swiftly as possible. A recently-delivered H135, completed by Metro, is expected to improve response.
Collier County Emergency Medical Services describes the service from Metro Aviation as ‘top notch’.

Florida-based Collier County Emergency Medical Services has taken delivery of an H135 TSH courtesy of Metro Aviation. “The arrival of the new aircraft will allow our EMS to continue its mission of transporting critically injured trauma patients to a trauma centre within the golden hour,” comments Tabatha Butcher, chief of Collier County Emergency Medical Services. “Collier does not have a trauma centre within the county, and this aircraft provides us the ability to get patients to specialised care in a timely manner for the best possible outcome.”

Metro's completion centre, located in Shreveport, Louisiana, outfitted the helicopter with a standard medical interior featuring a customised Mermaid Manufacturing Medi-Kool cabinet, dual pilot/single pilot IFR systems and a three-colour polyurethane paint job. This helicopter updates the current fleet of one 20-year-old aircraft with various safety features like Outerlink's best-in-class aviation software.

Metro Aviation has been a great company to work with,” Butcher continues. “It has involved us in the process all along and has been very flexible with any changes that have been needed. Its customer service is top notch, and we look forward to the continued working relationship.”
