Stuttgart-based ProAir Group has expanded its fleet with a Pilatus PC-12. The turboprop is the first and currently only aircraft of the type operated commercially in Germany.
Managing director Elmar Monreal says: “The Pilatus PC-12 is an ideal addition to our 22-strong fleet and will be a great workhorse for our passenger and cargo charters in the European region. We are delighted by the positive feedback from the market and the high levels of interest from further aircraft owners. In the first weeks of operation alone, we received requests for two additional PC-12 aircraft that should join the fleet shortly.”
The Pilatus PC-12 is a single turbine engine, multi-purpose aircraft by Swiss manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft that combines the reliable and efficient Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine with a spacious and quiet cabin. The high-end LCD cockpit with digital navigation technology and avionics is unique in its class.
Its ability to take off and land on short runways, its high cruise speed and flexibility in cabin configuration are all part of the PC-12's appeal for ProAir. If needed, it can transport passengers and a high volume cargo or baggage at the same time, while changing the cabin from passenger to cargo configuration also takes just minutes, a major advantage when ProAir is fulfilling time-critical transportation for the automotive industry.
