GPMS expands installation capability into Canada
GPMS is broadening its certified installer network to support Canadian operators. Alpine Aerotech is the first MRO to join.

In preparation for the 27th annual Helicopter Association of Canada Convention and Trade Show, GPMS International has expanded its certified installer network into Canada to support the growing number of Canadian operators looking to implement modern technology like its predictive Foresight MX HUMS. British Columbia-based Alpine Aerotech is the first Canadian helicopter maintenance service and support company to join the certified installer network.

VP, sales Todd Powers says: “Canada has the second largest commercial helicopter fleet in the world. Operators in this market need innovative solutions, like our Foresight MX, to provide predictive aircraft health and performance data to improve maintenance, safety and flight operations.”

As the company continues to grow and mature, it is looking to partner with qualified and recognised installation experts to extend its capabilities.

Alpine Aerotech is known for its industry expertise and its collaboration with customers to upgrade aircraft and to improve capabilities and safety,” he continues. “It is a great example of the companies we are looking to partner with, to deliver Foresight capabilities throughout Canada.”

Alpine VP, sales Alfonso Garcia says: “Our goal is to work with our customers to modernise their aircraft to make them safer, more efficient and to extend the lifecycle of their aircraft. Foresight MX offers a real advantage for them. Not only does it provide predictive HUMS insight into potential unscheduled maintenance events months ahead of time, reducing costs and allowing for better planning, but it also provides detailed flight data management information.”

He notes that FDM has been gaining interest within the Canadian market as the Alpine team has been promoting it to customers.

Flight data monitoring has been recognised as one of the top technologies to increase safety and is recommended for utilisation by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, Vertical Aviation Safety Team and other leading safety organisations. “With Foresight MX, operators benefit from both HUMS and FDM in one platform, eliminating redundant hardware, cost and weight,” Powers adds.
