Citation active winglets are now available from Bromma
Aerodynamic winglet technology can reduce time to climb and fuel burn while increasing range and stability. Tamarack winglets are available from Bromma Air Maintenance, with no need for structural reinforcement.

US engineering and modification company Tamarack Aerospace Group has approved Bromma Air Maintenance in Sweden as an authorised installer of its Atlas Active Winglets for the Cessna Citation business jet line.

President Brian Cox says: “It’s exciting that customers can now bring their aircraft to this world-class maintainer for their Active Winglet upgrade. Many owners will prefer to combine this with avionics or engine work, so this is a win-win for our European customers. At the same time that they are performing an engine overhaul or a flight deck upgrade, Bromma Air Maintenance can be working on the Active Winglet installation, which minimises overall installation downtime.”

Bromma Air Maintenance director of sales Marcus Lönn adds: “We’re excited to now be an authorised installer for Tamarack’s Active Winglets. It’s a high quality product that is far easier to install than traditional passive winglets because there is no structural reinforcement required in the wing. That significantly reduces the duration and complexity of the installation. We have many CitationJet customers looking to increase the beauty and performance of their jets, and we look forward to demonstrating this product to them.”

Tamarack Active Winglets are approved via EASA, FAA, ANAC and Transport Canada supplemental type certificates (STC) for installation on the Cessna CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, CJ2, CJ2+, CJ3 and CJ3+ business jets.

Other operational benefits that Tamarack claims owners will typically see with an Active Winglet equipped aircraft are a maximum zero fuel weight increase; enhanced climb gradient and OEI performance; improved hot/high performance; ride smoothing and stability; upgraded LED navigation and anti-collision lighting; and ramp appeal and aircraft resale value.
