Alsim AL42 acquired by Airbus fight academy
The Airbus Flight Academy Europe aims to train up to 200 cadet pilots a year as part of its EASA-approved training programme. The Alsim AL42 simulator will be a welcome addition for Diamond DA42 VI training.

Angouleme, France-based Airbus Flight Academy Europe, a subsidiary of the Airbus group, has taken delivery of an Alsim AL42 FNPT II flight simulator. CEO Jean Longobardi explains: “We were looking for a flight trainer that faithfully simulated the Diamond DA42 VI aircraft and demonstrated a high level of reliability. Alsim has met these requirements with its AL42. In addition, we particularly appreciated the responsiveness and commitment of Alsim including its ability to deliver the simulator quickly.”

Alsim sales account manager Nicolas de Lassus adds: “We are delighted to have been selected by Airbus Flight Academy Europe to equip its ab initio pilot training school. With the AL42, the school will have an excellent and proven training tool, a culmination of Alsim's 25 years of experience. Having a reliable and efficient flight simulator is essential to ensure high quality and cost-effective training. We are confident that this acquisition is the beginning of a great partnership between our two companies.”
