SwitzerlandThe first BBJ MAX 9 to be fully equipped by AMAC Aerospace in Switzerland will enter the company's Basel hangar facility in 2020 following the recent signing of a completion contract. The BBJ's interior design has been conceived by Parisian studio Gaugain.
Since 2010 AMAC has successfully undertaken several completions projects and the AMAC Aerospace teams are looking forward to this challenging new venture. “We are very pleased to open our hangar doors for our first BBJ MAX 9 completion project. We are proud of our teams, who have already started on the design package and the mock-up for this project, and we are looking forward to 2020 to start the new challenge,” says group chief operating officer Bernd Schramm.
More recently, a Boeing B747 entered AMAC's Basel facility at the end of December for heavy base maintenance input and several service bulletins. A number of minor modifications will be performed in parallel in the VIP cabin.
This coincides with the on time delivery of a privately owned Airbus A340-200 following a base maintenance check within a three week down-time period.
AMAC Aerospace offers narrow and wide-body VIP completions and maintenance for the corporate/private aviation market. The company was founded in 2007 in Basel, Switzerland and claims to be the largest privately-owned facility in the world. It is led by executive chairman/group CEO Kadri Muhiddin, group COO Bernd Schramm and group CFO Mauro Grossi and boasts long-term industry engagement, deep industry roots, extensive experience and a strong international network.
