TAS enhances Malaysia presence with three AW139s
Milestone Aviation will deliver three AW139s to Malaysia for Thai Aviation Services in February 2022. The helicopters will be used to support a contract with oil and gas mining company Helistar Resources.
Three AW139 helicopters will begin missions in Malaysia soon after delivery in February 2022.

Thai Aviation Services (TAS), a helicopter operator based in Thailand, is to receive three AW139 helicopters from Milestone Aviation Group, a helicopter leasing company. For over 30 years TAS has provided helicopter services for the offshore operations of oil and gas companies throughout the southeast Asia region.

The three AW139 helicopters will be used to support a multi-year contract awarded to TAS in partnership with Helistar Resources, an oil and gas company in Malaysia. The helicopters will be delivered to Malaysia in February 2022 and will begin missions thereafter.

Suwanawat Koeworakul, managing director at TAS says: “We are delighted to expand the TAS fleet with the agreement to lease these three AW139 helicopters from Milestone. TAS' existing relationship with Milestone is strengthened by the addition of these aircraft. The three AW139s will help us meet our obligations in providing exceptional offshore service for our customers in Thailand, with our partner Helistar in Malaysia.”

“The Milestone team's high level of skill, experience and commitment ensured that we were able to rapidly modify and provide these three AW139 helicopters to TAS,” says Michael York, head of emerging markets at Milestone. “This certainty of execution is a key differentiator for Milestone, and we are pleased to continue Milestone's deep commitment to TAS, and support its oil and gas missions in Malaysia.”
