Lugano, Switzerland-based St.X Club has taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Pilatus PC-12NG. The company is affiliated with charter brokerage Air-Dynamic, which has been active in the Swiss market since 2012 and operated in Italy prior to that. Clients can sign up to be a member of the club and share seats on the aircraft at competitive rates. They can also enjoy reduced rate seats on empty leg flights.
The PC-12NG was selected for its performance and ability to access short runways. "We can land without any problems in Samedan, Gstaad, Lausanne, Courchevel, St Tropez, Elba Island and many other airports, and the PC-12NG has access to three times more runways than normal jets," says Air-Dynamic sales and operations manager Dorothea Hess. "We are looking to extend our reach all over Europe and increase the number of members.
"Geneva could be a good market for us. As our aircraft is Swiss registered, we can fly legs such as Zurich to Basel or Zurich to St Moritz, which non-Swiss aircraft cannot do, due to cabotage rules."
