Gulfstream has announced that a full-scale mock-up of the cabin of its G700, including award-winning Symmetry Flight Deck, has departed Savannah for a worldwide tour, giving customers an opportunity to experience the aircraft first-hand.
The G700 was announced in October 2019 at the NBAA-BACE.
“We have been excited to show customers this amazing aircraft,” says president Mark Burns. “The compelling combination of technology and cabin innovation raises the bar for the business jet industry. Whether customers prioritise cabin size and flexibility, speed, range or flight-deck technology, there is no need to compromise because the G700 delivers all that and more.”
The G700 offers a high-speed range of 6,400 nm at Mach 0.90 and a long-range cruise of 7,500 nm at Mach 0.85. The aircraft's maximum operating speed is Mach 0.925. The G700's award-winning Symmetry Flight Deck, introduced with the next-generation Gulfstream G500 and Gulfstream G600, features such safety enhancements as active control sidesticks, the most extensive use of touchscreen technology in the industry and the Predictive Landing Performance System, another Gulfstream development and award-winner.
With up to five living areas, the G700 cabin showcases an ultragalley, with passenger lounge or crew compartment, master suite with shower, and a flexible space with a fully deployable six-place dining or conference table. The signature Gulfstream cabin experience promotes and enhances wellness through 20 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows, the largest in the industry; the industry's lowest cabin altitude; 100 percent fresh air and a quiet cabin.
The G700 also introduces a circadian lighting system that accurately simulates sunrise and sunset and reduces the physical impact of ultra-long-range travel.
The G700 customer tour launches in Monterey, California, and will include Palm Beach, Florida, and return visits to Savannah before embarking on a European tour of Switzerland, France and the UK this spring.
