MT gains Brazilian Quiet Fan approval for Piper jet prop
MT-Propeller received the ANAC Brazil STC 2023S08-11 for the installation of the five-blade MTV-27 MT-Propeller on the Piper Malibu Mirage powered by P&WC propeller turbines.
The Quiet Fan Jet five-blade scimitar composite propeller.

MT-Propeller Entwicklung has received STC 2023S08-11 from Brazil's Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil for the installation of the next generation Quiet Fan Jet five-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR203-58d on the Piper PA-46-310P/-350P Jet Prop powered by PT6A-21/-34/-35 propeller turbines.

The Installation is already certified by EASA STC 10049811 and FAA STC SA03542NY.

MT-Propeller vice president Martin Albrecht says the five-blade propeller installation on the Piper PA-46-310P/-350P has the following advantages:

- General performance improvement with 10 per cent shorter take off distance and climb performance plus three knots faster in cruise.

- Approximately 3lbs less weight than the original four-blade metal propeller.

- Cooler ITT on ground with condition lever at low and high idle position.

- There are no propeller speed restrictions on ground while operating in low idle.

- Due to the smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the PA-46-310P/-350P has more ground clearance for less FODs.

- The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reductions for a jet-like vibration and noise signature.

- They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD.

- They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

All models comply with the strict 2010 Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung German noise regulations for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European countries.
