Abu Dhabi operator Falcon Aviation will soon fly the latest generation AW169 following the delivery of two offshore AW189s in July 2015. “We have established our position as a market leader in executive aviation services and offshore oil support in the Middle East,” says COO Raman Oberoi. “I believe that we are setting the benchmark for the industry in terms of safety, quality and customer service.”

The AW189s that entered service last July have 19 seats and are proving to be the helicopters of choice for demanding oil and gas ops.

In March, a pair of eight to 10 seat AW169s will arrive, one in vip and one in offshore configuration. Falcon provides a range of services including ad hoc charter, management, CAMO and repair but has recently diversified into scheduled operations.

“In September last year we started flights for Zirku and Das islands from Al Bateen Executive airport with our two Bombardier Q400s with 78 seats, carrying out scheduled flights for Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company staff,” continues Oberoi. “In partnership with the Abu Dhabi Airports Company we converted the Sheikh Zayed terminal to an oil and gas industry terminal, serving 400 passengers daily.”
