Columbus, Ohio-based certified contractor Davenport Aviation, specialising in the supply of aircraft, mission equipment and aircraft materials to all levels of US government, is continuing to diversify its product line by adding the Airbus H145 helicopter to the United States General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.
The GSA is an independent agency of the US government established to help manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies. GSA supplies products and communications for government offices, provides transportation and office space to federal employees, and develops government-wide cost-minimising policies and other management tasks.
“We're incredibly excited to add the H145 to our portfolio of Airbus products,” says vice president of aircraft and aircraft systems Rob McMillin. “We look forward to working closely with Airbus Helicopters and GSA to offer this solution to our customers.”
The H145 offers exceptional performance and is known for its safety and reliability. Powered by its two Safran Arriel 2E engines, the H145 is equipped with the latest technology, including an advanced cockpit, a Helionix avionics suite and a Fenestron antitorque device as the tail rotor. With close to 1,600 aircraft in operation across the globe, the H145 is multi-mission capable; suitable for law enforcement, search and rescue, emergency medical services and more. The addition of the H145 to the GSA schedule will expand its availability to federal, state and local agencies across the US.
“We are confident that the H145 has the capability to support the critical missions of government agencies across the United States,” says Airbus vice president of sales and marketing Treg Manning. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Davenport Aviation as a trusted supplier of our aircraft to government operators.”
