JordanMohammed Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and ceo of Fresh Del Monte, is confident that his vision of a regional and worldwide charter operation will bear further fruit as new aircraft add to fleet capacity.
Abu-Ghazaleh, ceo of Arab Wings, has built up extensive business interests in Jordan as well as carrying out his executive role in Fresh Del Monte which produces, markets and distributes fresh and fresh cut fruit and vegetables in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
"He is a man who believes that determination and hard work pays off. His motto is to always have a dream and to go for it," says Noor Abu Matar, marketing manager of the Jordanian charter operator Arab Wings.
Arab Wings has ordered a Phenom 100 and a Phenom 300 to boost its regional charter capacity. It is also taking delivery of a Gulfstream 450 in December for management and worldwide charter deployment.
Abu Matar says: "Our aircraft were mostly chosen for their range, running cost and the manufacturer's support."
She says that another additional aircraft might be acquired in 2007 as Arab Wings adds to its Challenger 604, Hawker 800XP and Beech King Air 200. The Phenoms will be delivered in 2010.
"They will be operated regionally in the Middle East and the Arab Gulf while the 450 will be operated in the Far East, North America and Europe," says Abu Matar.
"Certainly our charter business is growing," she says. "We started with one aircraft when the company was established and now we are expanding to meet demand for our services throughout the Middle East. Our target is to achieve a minimum of 50 hours on monthly basis."
