With ongoing challenges due to COVID-19, Diamond Aircraft is working on providing continuous support to its customers globally and is now offering installation of its flight simulation training devices via remote support.

Diamond Aircraft flight simulators are usually installed onsite at the customer's location. However, due to continuing travel restrictions, Diamond's simulation team, together with the company's IT and sales department, has developed an environment for live remote installations that is offered to customers worldwide.

“I am proud of our innovative team working hard on facing these challenging times with creative ideas to continue support for our global customers to keep their businesses running,” says Liqun (Frank) Zhang, CEO Diamond Aircraft Austria.

The company has already successfully completed first remote installation for several customers.

Project and key account manager Christian Schmid adds: “Besides the necessity to support our customers in the best possible way during the given circumstances to get their simulators installed and qualified, this is also an opportunity for us as a company to get the most out of this situation and use the collected data for further improvements in regards to training and maintenance.”

Wherever possible Diamond Aircraft is still offering onsite installations and will keep doing so for everyone once worldwide travel is possible again.

Fully modelled after the DA40 and the DA42 aircraft and built using authentic Diamond aircraft parts, Diamond's model-specific flight training devices complement the company's training aircraft. Designed both for basic and advanced instrument, navigation and procedural training, they are suited for instruction, check flights, screening purposes and skill proficiency tests and help to further increase the efficiency of a flight school's training syllabus, saving time and money.
